LDS Onsite
Training Center
No one expects to run into scheduling problems after paying registration and planning for an educational event. However, with new airline and hotel penalties at issue for both the Presenters and the Participants, LDS has carefully reviewed and updated our 2008 cancellation policies for our onsite programs. We have also updated our policies for the LDS Online Training Center. Please contact us with any questions. If you register for courses in our Web Store, you will find this information repeated there, for your convenience. We’d love to see you at one of our onsite courses! Historically, participants have had the freedom to hold off paying their registrations as long as possible: very understandable! However, since airline and hotel contracts are becoming increasing difficult to modify, our timelines for determining attendance goals must be adjusted. Please take the time to review our updated policies before making any travel or personal scheduling plans for any onsite workshop:
- LDS reserves the right to cancel an event for attendance issues up to 40 days prior to event dates.
- It is important to confirm your payment and place in a workshop before making any airline, hotel or other penalty-based commitments. We respond to all training registrations made via the Web Store within 3 business days. Until then, your credit card payments made via the Web Store for one of our onsite courses remains ‘pending’. That is, your credit card is not automatically charged until manually authorized by LDS. Be sure to wait for our confirmation email, emailed invoice or phone contact before going further with travel/scheduling plans.
- If LDS cancels an event due to unforeseen issues less than 40 days prior to event date, LDS will promptly refund all registration fees, unless you request that we transfer them to another course. LDS limits further responsibility to documented change fees for airline transportation only. LDS assumes no liability for any other arrangements.
- Participants may apply for and confirm full refund by phone up to 45 days prior; no refunds after that, except at the discretion of LDS. You may, however, substitute someone for your paid onsite class at any time. Your cancelled registration fee can be applied to any Onsite Training Center program within the following 12 months (an additional $20 administrative charge will be added.) Please note that there is no refund if you do not notify us and do not attend.
- If you follow the above notification steps, your onsite fees may ALSO be applied to any LDS Online Training Center Level I or Level II Webinars or Webinar Subscription Rates (with an additional $20 administrative charge). If the Online option is chosen, participant must schedule and complete webinars/Series chosen within the following 6 months.
LDS Online Training Center
The beauty of the Online Training Center is that it offers infinitely more flexibility for busy Trainers: you have an ongoing, constantly updated calendar of choices, especially for our Level I and II webinar titles. However, even with this format, there remain certain limitations:
- For Subscription Holders:
You have maximum flexibility for cancellations, rescheduling, and length of time to complete your courses!
However, subscriptions must be prepaid before webinar enrollments can be processed for online course events. When you purchase a Subscription to the LDS Level I (Web One or Web One A), you can sign up for webinar titles in your Level at will: your only limitations are registering with a minimum 48-hour notice for a webinar date. In fact, while the courses may appear on the ‘Join’ page, they will drop off the registration page of our calendar. The above policies apply for any Level II Subscriptions.
- Single Webinar Enrollees:
Even for single event attendees, there is so much more latitude to adjust to unexpected work changes! However, escalating enrollment in all our webinars has forced some new adjustments to equitably meet the needs of our presenters and our attendees:
- If participants encounter any unforeseen computer problems during their event that prevent them from participating in all or part of the event, they may repeat the webinar title at another time, provided that they contact LDS about the problem. We want to do all we can to ensure your successful participation!
- Like our onsite programs, webinars have enrollment
caps: this is your assurance of personal attention in your event!
If you fail to attend, and do not attempt
to notify us, you may potentially prevent another person from attending
their desired course date. NEW 2008 POLICY: Paid enrollees
who make no attempt
to contact us to reschedule their assigned webinar date will be
allowed to sign up for another
section upon receipt of a $20.00 fee. However, we will entertain
your petitions to waive that fee, at the discretion of the Presenter.
