Our Primary Mission: The highest caliber professional training available
Since 1988, delivering quality train-the-trainer programs for accent has been our primary mission. To date, we remain a leader in the field of accent trainer education for several key reasons:
- comprehensive programming,
- stellar seminar leadership, and
- cutting edge delivery applications.
Our 2-day training programs are scheduled annually in US and Canadian sites. We extend our reach to International Trainers by routinely accepting invitations to conduct this same training for speech-language pathologists in international organizations. All the LDS programs have been solid, successful trainings from the inception. Yet, even successful ventures should be updated and recharged – and LDS has never rested on past laurels.
Staying on the Cutting Edge – our extended mission
As with the LDS product line, the LDS Training Center continues to evolve and improve:
- In 1995, we introduced the advanced training level for accent. To date, no other training organization offers anything beyond the basic level.
- In 2003, we added the Online Training Center, to provide realtime, online professional education options to our basic and advanced onsite programs.
- In late 2003, we augmented our basic and advanced training courses with unique and specialized courses – for particular populations or related topics.
- In 2005, we delineated ourselves further as the leaders in comprehensive trainer education: LDS announced a third tier of advanced training for the seasoned professional. This online series delivers advanced marketing and applications the experienced trainer needs to grow.
- Also in 2005, LDS introduced Trainer Certification for Accent Testing: a POEC certification program many have been asking about.
