"It was helpful to look at the narrow transcription of the vowels and critical points for overall intelligibility."

"Reviewing narrow transcription symbol placement guidelines for vowels and highlighting which placements would most effect vowels, also reviewing american english vowel classification and giving examples of production factors."

What was particularly helpful?: It was interactive. I was able to ask questions if I had any. The notes are are easy to follow. Lorna's tips on references and material she used are great. It's hard to get good material on accent reduction in Canada.

"I thought the suggestions for contacts (PR firms, etc) was excellent, and also enjoyed the information in the 'necessary components' list. The 'Questions they expect to have answered' list is a good source."

"Suggestions on how to write a proposal, especially the importance of identifying features of my program and analyzing the benefits. Also learning about the psychological steps of buying and how I can use this to market my product. The creative brainstorming activity helped to ‘prime’ my brain to think differently than traditional speech pathology."
