Newest Professional Education Options for Level I Online
About
this Series…
In response to trainer requests, LDS & Associates is pleased to announce a new quarterly offering of ‘bundled’ webinars from Level I. The Level One Immersion Series is a series of special groupings of the 7 webinars in our Level I online professional training series on accented speech. These immersion events are back-to-back (lengthy!!) live, online events on the themes of assessment or instruction, often with (optional) ASHA CEUs. Because of their specific time constraints, pricing is more attractive than our single module ‘at your convenience’ webinars (generally $99.00 per event). However, they are attractive to trainers who would like to complete the series at a more accelerated pace. These courses typically include a post-event (bonus) product coupon for use in our Web Store on your future purchases!
Like all our online courses, complete, current details are available in the Web Store, under the Series, or course title; trainers will also pay for their registration in the Web Store. All trainers should consult the Online Training Calendar first to enroll in the program (and date) of their choice first, then go to the Web Store to pay for the course. Trainers please note that the enrollment period for these courses closes 7 days prior to each course date.
There are two intensives in this series:
Level I Immersion Series: Complete Accent Assessment ABCs
This Immersion Series event covers the complete contents of our assessment modules (see below) in the Level I Online Series. Following the formal online events, participants use the loaner videotapes (must be returned) to practice guided accent assessment scoring practice, using the practice handouts received with the course. NOTE: This is also equivalent to the complete contents of the onsite Accent 101 program on accent assessment, with the added bonus of private videotape practicum on accent testing!

Module I – Intro to the Process and Vowel Testing 90 minutes – scheduled

Level I Immersion Series: Complete Accent Instruction ABCs
In this ASHA CEU-accredited web event, we will cover the complete contents of our Level I Online Series comprehensive modules for accent instruction and format decision-making (Modules V & VI), with the added bonus of the formalized, instructor-reviewed format design practicum worksheets. This program is equivalent to the instruction content and format design content in our Accent 101 onsite professional training programs with the added bonus of instructor review comments on your format design practicum worksheets.
The specific modules are:
Module V – Instruction: Basic Building Blocks 90 minutes – scheduled

Module VI – Program Design Options:
How Much Can I Fit Into This Program? 90 minutes – scheduled

POST-EVENT PERSONAL PRACTICUM: An additional 60 minutes
of guided, personal practicum via the Instructional Format Design worksheet.
